Man, stop it with the cloud service already. You can't rely on the internet availability for listening to music. It's unreliable. Plus, the streaming will probably be low resolution, drain battery life, eat into data caps, not display lyrics, and generally be a crappy experience. If I wanted to stream, I can do it from my home computer where my music already resides with one of the 100 apps already available and not have to fight through all the bandwidth issues that are probably gonna result from Apple's side. What's the point? I can do this now.
Of course what we really need if more friggin' flash memory on our devices! Apple's been stuck on 32 GB on the iPhone for almost 3 years!
Tony
Good points made. Like I complained about, cellular data connectivity when out and about isn't very reliable and then there is data caps.

Apple has one phone while the other manufacturers have dozens each. Would this really a surprise if it came about?

What a waste of space. The time distance between now and 2015 is 4 years. The iPhone didn't even exist four years ago, and is now the king of the mountain. Who knows what new technology Apple or others will come up between during the next four years. Asinine.
It is highly likely that at some point Apple will release a cost reduced iPhone, for example... whilst a large proportion of Nokia's customers aren't getting Nokia SmartPhones, and might resist moving to WP7 devices, however 'FeaturePhone-ised' they are made.

This, if it and Ivy Bridge, lower SSD prices/larger capacities come to fruition solidify my decision to stay with my 2010 and wait for the 2012 refresh.

I have had a few BSODs in XP, but they are rare. Mainly I used to leave my tower on 24/7 and the worst I would get is switching my monitor on first thing in the morning or when I got home from work and see it had rebooted itself and was telling me it was an invalid system disc.
Since Mac, never once has this happened, (even though I tend to power down on this more often, I still often leave running 24/7 if it is doing something that requires up time).
Strangely enough, I am one fo the few that never had that many problems with ME.
Never had the BSOD on XP, but on ME ....WOW that was one shutty OS!

I guess native HDMI input functionality will still be a no-no. I know you can do it with 3rd party adapters, but that's a croc!

Understandable, seeing as you wear Adidas. LOL. :D
On a more serious and intelligent note, let's hope the screen and the rest of the body have a more seamless and look. The current mirror screen looks like it was slapped on a random body. They just don't go together like the previous gen. The Air looks much better.
Ah, I kinda like the two tone look. Though I certainly wouldn't mind if the whole computer was black (though it might look a little bland that way imho).
I will be annoyed if the computer gets a lighter color or they frame the screen in something other than black (sorry, silver and white are both horrible colors to frame a screen with, and besides those and black no other color is really neutral enough for a screen since you need neutrality cause the colors on the screen will change).

Surely I'm not the only one who's noticed that the i7 is slower than the i5, and that the Radeon HD 6970M is slower than the 6750M.
Whaaaaa?
I'd seen that. Confused, also...

Why do they always use the smaller sized iPods for the special editions?
I wanted the U2 iPod, but it was not the 60 gig.
I would like a red iPod, but want the 8 gig!
USE THE BEST MODEL... ESPECIALLY SINCE ITS GOING TO CHARITY!!!!!!!
I think its probably an issue of volume. The smaller sizes sell more. Just a guess, I don't have actual numbers.

Curious that everyone is clamoring for a thunderbolt-enabled machine, but there isn't a single thunderbolt drive available on the market.

I actually agree. Pull 'em. It may be censorship, but it's dangerous not to.
Seems to me if it's NOT censorship to prohibit yelling "fire" in a crowded theatre, it shouldn't be censorship to ban yelling "DUI stop" on the crowded highways we stage our lives on daily (see what I did there?). ;)
I say pull the apps.
Doesn't matter what party a senator is from , they are all liars and cheats.
Gosh, maybe we should ban stereotyping, too. :)

For those wanting retina displays:
No modern GPU can display anything past 2560x1600 on a single screen.
Please
Do you mean they lack the power or that its not a selectable option? They have the power, have had it for years. Dual 2560x1600 screen setups off one graphics card is easily attainable.

It's awesome by contrast to Vista. It's the best Windows version to date. I like to have a Windows box around for games and stuff.

What sense would it make for Apple to update the iMac twice in such a rapid succession? If anything, Apple's hardware cycles are getting even longer, mostly around 10-12 months in recent years. And at least from Intel, there will be nothing new to put into these machines by that date.
It's not unusual for Apple to update the iMac twice in a year. They did it in 2005 and three times in 2003. Hardware is always changing, and iMacs get speed bumps or redesigns to reflect those.
Lion is going to be released about a month after the new iMac, so if the redesign somehow really coincides with the release, it will probably happen right now.
That would make Lion being released first or second week in June. That's possible of course, but highly unlikely. My guess is sometime in August, or early September.

Airplay and Airtunes are two different things AFAIK. I was under the impression that AUDIO was routed ONLY through AirTUNES and that AirPLAY was purely the VIDEO portion of the stream. Thus, you could stream a video to XBMC from an iPad, but you would get no audio and/or music could not be streamed with it. At least this was the jist I got from a thread on the matter when Airplay functionality was first added. Cracking the Airtunes key would enable XBMC to be seen from within iTunes as a full fledged audio device and thus you could output audio to it and other speakers at the same time, etc. and control it all from "REMOTE" on an iOS device.
Come to think of it, I see the thread title is "AirPLAY Private Key Exposed". So either that is a misprint or this thread is terribly out of date. AirPLAY has been known for quite a long time and it has NOTHING to do with an Airport Express, which is only AirTUNES so I'm assuming they mean the Airtunes key has been exposed (Airplay was not encrypted to my knowledge, only Airtunes). AppleTV Gen1 only has AirTunes, not AirPlay, for example as does Airport Express...
You're quite wrong there. AirPlay IS AirTunes. It's AirTunes + video equivalent of AirTunes. An Airport Express is now an 'AirPlay device'. See

I'm not saying that my speed was legal, but after she brakechecked me, she dropped her speed to under 55mph which is illegal at least in portions of Michigan; there's a thing called a minimum speed limit.

2 wrongs don't make a right.
EDIT: @ Rodimus - Had she hit me when I slammed on the brakes, she would have been at fault. All I have to do is tell the cop that I thought I saw an animal run across the road. She is supposed to keep enough distance to be able to stop if I slam on the brakes. Doesn't matter than I cut her off, she has to prove that I did, and she also has to prove that I slammed on the breaks with malice.

Lying to the cops. Wonderful idea.

...All this "well they had it coming" BS is totally misplaced, the man who died was a human being. I only hope that the guard did not instigate the shooting.
If you read the article you would see it was justified.

No one refers to McDonald's as Burger Store. Their brand name is so strong that people actually say McDonald's because that logo and name is pretty much seared into everyone head.
You dont say Burger Store? Thats weird. I and everyone I know always say that...like, "hey dude, want to grab a big mac from Burger Store" or "hey, how about a nice Burger Store Egg McMuffin". Get with it dude :p
